Homeopathy Gallery

These images represent homeopathic hospitals and colleges that existed in the late 1800′s and early 1900′s. Some homeopathic medical schools were associated with universities like the University of Michigan, University of Iowa, and University of Minnesota. As homeopathy waned, some of its colleges became our current day conventional medical schools. Most images are from postcards printed during that era. The dates of postmarked cards are noted.

"In the last century or so, science has unwittingly fallen prey to the very habit of mind it was designed to avoid. In its desire to distance itself from doctrine in order to delve dispassionately into the nature of things, science has come dangerously close to advocating a doctrinaire materialism." - from Yoga Psychology and the Transformation of Consciousness by Don Salmon & Jan Maslow
