"I began my first day of medical school in 1984 just weeks after reading Richard Grossinger's Planet Medicine which contains a fascinating description of homeopathy. Within another week I discovered that a Family Practice Instructor was teaching an elective course on homeopathy at the noon hour, which I promptly signed up for. Two weeks later while looking for items for our first apartment together as a married couple, my wife Mary and I purchased a diploma at a yard sale. Across the top it read "Societas Medica Hahnemannia, Universitatis Iowaensis, Similia Similibus Curantur" It was the homeopathic medical school diploma of Gardner Appleton Huntoon, MD, dated 1896. This strange confluence of events, which I now understand was a powerful synchronicity, changed the course of my life. I have not looked back since, and consider homeopathy to be my calling to which I have dedicated the best of my energies."
